Reuters: Major U.S. trucking firm Daseke buys three firms

SEATTLE (Reuters) – Daseke Inc (DSKE.O), the largest owner of flatbed equipment in North America, has acquired three trucking firms in deals aimed at gaining access to higher margin freight, the company said on Monday.

Daseke did not disclose the amount it paid for the companies, with a combined revenue of $320 million. The trucker finished 2016 with more than $650 million in revenue and expects to enter 2018 with revenue of $1.2 billion with the new companies included, its chief executive officer told Reuters.
