As the subject of a recent interview with Fleet Owner’s Wendy Leavitt, Don Daseke himself couldn’t have come up with a better subtitle for the article: “Old School Values Guide this Now $688 Million Trucking Group.” “Wendy captured the essence of what we’re doing with our family of Daseke companies,” said Don. “She understood how we’re growing and that’s by allowing great companies to continue to do what they do best. We truly do have old school values.”
In the article, Wendy quoted Don as saying,
I am very proud for we believe we have the deepest management team in open deck trucking.” Then he adds, “We are building this premier company for the long term. The goal is to make each unit better, to help them grow and improve. We don’t measure our success quarter by quarter like a private equity investor. We are completely different. We are all about quality, quality, quality.”
The article continues on about the growth for Don and Daseke Inc. Don says further, “We’re building something special here. We have a plan and that’s to be the premier open-deck carrier in the country. We’re well on our way.”
