Everett Business Journal Features Smokey Point Distributing’s New Terminal Under Construction

Daseke’s Smokey Point Distributing’s new state-of-the-art headquarters, for which the company broke ground at a special ceremony in late April, has caught the attention of The Herald Business Journal of Everett.

The local business newspaper published a story on July 27 about the company’s new 50,500-square-foot head office, which is twice the size of the company’s current location. The new building is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016. The story, written by John Wolcott.

“We’ve been at our smaller site for 16 years and our business has rapidly outgrown our space,’ “the HBJ quoted Wirkkala as saying. “ ‘We have people and trucks squeezed into many small buildings and facilities. In the new location, we’ll have plenty of space for our fleet of vehicles, a large new maintenance shop, training facilities, a lunch room, drivers lounge and well-organized offices.’ “
