Daseke, Inc.’s WTI Transport Hosts Editor from CCJ Magazine

It’s always nice to have special guests on “campus” and in December, James Jaillet, news editor for CCJ and Overdrive magazine, took the time to visit the new WTI Transport facility.

He documented the visit with a camera to show his readers all the new amenities that WTI Transport offers its flatbed drivers and staff.  James seemed especially impressed with WTI’s new truck driver’s suite named in honor of WTI’s first driver — Willie Barnes.

In his story, James talked with WTI’s Guy Martorana, the company’s HR director. Guy relayed that truck driver turnover was just 22 percent in December – the lowest it’s been since the company began tracking turnover in 2003.

While the rest of the industry is struggling to retain drivers, WTI Transport’s culture and driver-first mentality is keeping them in the fold.

Please check out James’ story and photos on the CCJ website.
