Daseke Inc. No. 3 in Dallas Top 100

They say everything is bigger in Texas. That’s certainly true as Daseke Inc. continues to grow and be recognized. On the heels of its recent merger with Lone Star Transportation, Daseke was named No. 3 in the prestigious Dallas 100, published by the Dallas Business Journal in its Nov. 14 issue.

The recognition was based on growth and “other factors,” according to the Journal. The Caruth Institute compiled the ranking for Entrepreneurship at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

“A year ago, we had revenues of 206.5 million, along with about 2,000 employees nationwide,” said Don Daseke. “Today, it’s $447 million in revenues with 2,600 employees. Growth has been tremendous and there is nothing but blue skies ahead as we continue to invest in people and great companies. It’s gratifying to be recognized in our community as one of the fastest growing companies in all of Dallas.”

In the article, Daseke was quoted as saying:

“Our goal is to become North America’s premier, market-leading open-deck and heavy-haul company. Our goal is to foster a collaborative culture that makes us the carrier of choice for both employees and shippers.”

Daseke Inc. is well on its way.
